Brake bleeding set MECHANIC BRAKE BLEEDING SET 8 SIXTOL
With the practical brake bleeding set MECHANIC BRAKE BLEEDING SET 8 you can replace brake fluid even at home. Brake fluid has the ability to absorb atmospheric moisture, which lowers its boiling point and negatively affects its performance. As its boiling point decreases (new fluid has a boiling point higher than 230 °C), prolonged braking can generate high temperatures and any water in the fluid will turn into steam. The resulting steam is compressible and thus reduces the effectiveness of the brake fluid. Brake fluid replacement is recommended every 1–3 years, or according to measured values - from 181 °C and above - replacement is not necessary, 171 °C - 180 °C - replacement is recommended, 170 °C and below - replacement is necessary!
Main advantages:- Quality material
- Saves time and money
Usage:- 1. Remove the wheel where you plan to perform the bleeding.
- 2. Open the brake fluid reservoir and top it up if necessary.
- 3. Start at the point farthest from the brake fluid reservoir (usually the rear right wheel) and proceed towards the closest (front left wheel).
- 4. An assistant in the cabin slowly presses the brake pedal and keeps it depressed.
- At this point release the screw or valve on the bleed valve of the brake caliper or wheel cylinder.
- 5. Once the stream of brake fluid flows without air bubbles, tighten the screw or valve and stop pressing the pedal.
- 6. Repeat the process until you are sure all air has been removed. Make sure the fluid in the reservoir remains at a consistent level.
- 7. After bleeding the brakes, check the brake pedal and verify there are no braking issues. Optionally, perform a test drive in a safe area.
