Refractometer for measuring wort / brewer's saccharometer ATC 32

A quality refractometer / Brix meter with automatic temperature compensation is designed primarily for measuring sugar content and the specific gravity of wort, or the sugar content of fruit mash and mash. The refractometer is an instrument for measuring the refractive index of a light beam and can thus determine the composition of liquid mixtures or the purity of substances. This refractometer / Brix meter is used wherever the percentage of sugar in wort (in mash) needs to be determined in the range 0 to 32 % Brix, to measure the specific gravity of wort in the range 1.000 to 1.120 SG, and for measuring sugar content of fruit mash and juices, etc. ATC / automatic temperature compensation system (no calibration required at temperatures from 0°C to 30°C).

Main advantages:
  • Compact device size
  • Small deviation and high measurement accuracy
  • The device requires no battery for measurement
  • The body of the device is made of a lightweight and durable special aluminum alloy
  • Part of the device is fitted with a soft rubber cover for comfortable handling
  • Measurement range 0 to 32 % Brix
  • High operational reliability and long service life
  • Requires practically no maintenance.
Measurement method:
  • Measuring with the refractometer is very simple: place 2–3 drops of the sample on the angled optical prism of the instrument, close the prism cover (the liquid spreads), look toward the light through the eyepiece, adjust focus if necessary, and read the sugar content and specific gravity on the appropriate scale by the boundary between the illuminated and non-illuminated areas in the field of view.
What the Brix scale is:
  • The Brix scale is used to measure the concentration of dissolved solids (mainly sugar) in fruit, vegetables, juices, musts, non-alcoholic beverages, wort, etc. % Brix is a universal unit for sugar content based on sucrose (beet sugar), characterizing the sucrose concentration in mass percent, 1 % Brix = 1 g sucrose (beet sugar) in 100 g of e.g. must.
Package contents:
  • 1 pcs handheld refractometer
  • 1 pcs practical and mechanically durable plastic case
  • 1 pcs mini screwdriver for instrument calibration
  • 1 pcs pipette for sampling
  • 1 pcs antistatic cleaning cloth for the optical prism
Note: The special calibration solution is not included!
